Why “3..2..1 Juice”?
The journey began on October 23rd 2005. Our beautiful baby girl arrived, bringing with her 3 copies of the 21st chromosome (Down syndrome). Marina Grace would lead her parents, siblings and those close to her on an educational, enlightening, joy-filled journey.
Through three states, various programs, schools and activities, we knew her personality was bringing something “extra” to everything she did.

According to the National Institutes of Health, approximately one in every 722 babies in the United States is born with Down syndrome. For most people, each cell in the body has 23 pairs of chromosomes. During cell division, if an extra copy of the 21st chromosome is present, this 3rd copy of the 21st chromosome results in a Down syndrome diagnosis.
Individuals with Down syndrome, have unique personalities and interests, just like everyone else! They can attend school, play sports, make art, play instruments, hold jobs and even own businesses!
